MamaBits has her roots from the innovative Nairobits a youth organization with it roots from Holland. Between 2003 and 2012 Nairobits was managed by the founding Manager Anne Ikiara a co-founder of MamaBits.
MamaBits objective is to use ICT to improve lives throughout the world. We have developed multi-international award winning concepts that enables organizations and individuals use ICT solutions to solve problems, improve lives and create innovative solutions that create efficiency. Most importantly, the concept has proved to be to be relevant and replicable in similar settings across the globe.
Borrowing from the success with Nairobits, the first ever replica was set up by MamaBits.

Kampabits https://www.kampabits.org Owing to the success of this concept other similar other replicas were started by other Butterfly works, a sister company to MamaBits. Nairobits has other value adding components like the reproductive health curriculum that’s also trained to the students as part of the value adding process. Other components include the entrepreneurship training. Additionally, the concept has proved to be to be relevant and replicable in similar settings across the globe. To support this leverage on this and support youth all over the globe, the first ever replica of Nairobits was set up by MamaBits.

Objective 1

• To replicate the concept of Nairobits and in similar circumstances as those of Nairobi’s non formal settlements in more countries (on request of local or international organizations).

Objective 2

• Spread the benefits of our time and quality tested training curriculum to other setups with a high level success rate owing to the experience.

Objective 3

• Build other stable setups elsewhere in the developing world that reach a critical mass of youth with time tested life, entrepreneurial and employability skills.

Objective 4

• To mainstream gender in ICT projects and programs.
